Jim Corbett National Park
is the oldest national park in India. It is named after Col. Edward James Corbett who was a fearless hunter and a generous wildlife pioneer. It is a haven for adventure lovers and wildlife enthusiasts. Only selected areas of the national park are open to visitors. There is a multiple variety of landscapes here from wet to dry, plain to mountainous and forests to grasslands. The Bengal Tiger and the Asian Elephants are the most famous inhabitants of the park. There are in all 50 species of mammals, 584 bird species, 25 reptile species and 110 tree species in Corbett.
Rich Himalayan flora, migratory bird species, endangered mammals and above all the Indian Tiger, the Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand has a number of wild surprises awaiting you.
